Hi,

I don't understand why some work units finish in 3 hours others take 4

I disabled indexing service, anything that may be using CPU cycles?
This is a fresh install of XP and I doubt the indexing service would
cause an hour difference.

The nature of the data in each work unit inherently requires an amount of
computation that varies from work unit to work unit. Apparently one of
prime factors in this variability is angular range over which the data
was gathered.

There are explanations for this on the SETI@home Web site, if you're
motivated enough to track them down / dig them up.
