Why, pray tell, are you suggesting Linux, when the OP listed only Windows
versions?
Personally I use both systems and he's right if you want performance and
don't exclude Linux as incapable of running windows applications completly.
Linux is by it's very nature, more attuned to people who tweak their systems
and don't accept the package "out of the box" software. Many Linux users
modify or write their own software to adapt to a given situation. Ask a
Linux user to provide software for seti-cli and they will even if they have
to write it theirself. Their is no answer to who's better system or OS.
That's like saying which is better "Harly Davidson or Indian" motorcycles.
It is up to the user and yes I encourage trying both as well.
The question put was what was the best OS for Seti-Cli if hardware issues
were set aside. John just said he had Windows Available to him. Martin just
told him where to open his horizons at. I mean find Linux. You don't have to
be an Employee to be proud of what you got. :)
