Great stuff!
Could do with some of the spare heat over here (:-))
You're doing well to get the Wireless stuff through three floors...
Beats me for my mini-network.
Happy crunchin',

It works, I have a "good" signal down there, but I have 12 computers
down in the basement so I bought 2 Access Points(AP) and hooked them
up in bridge mode so I did not have to buy wireless network cards for
each one. I plugged one AP into the router on the 3rd floor, the main
computer room, and then the other one into a 16 port hub in the
basement. Now 11 of the computers down there go thru the hub to the AP
to the other AP thru the router and out to the upstairs computers. I
do have one wireless computer in the basement, the server. It is that
way until I need that card elsewhere, then I will make it wired thru
the hub too.
I didn't say but I currently have a combination of Windows 98SE, 2000
and XP Home and Pro machines all talking to each other just fine.
I use Radmin to sit in the computer room and control them all. The
only problem is the infrequesnt power outages, I have underground
utilities, then I have to go around and manually restart most of them.
I am still trying to make them take the bios setting of automatically
restarting when the power comes back on. Fortunately the power has
only gone out once in 2 years!!!! Knocking on wood here!!!
