The quickest way to do the Microsoft mantra (RRR) is to take a 'ghost'
image of your new install so that you can quickly recover back to a
'clean' install.
Store a second ghost image when you've got the system settings tweaked
to what you want.
Also make a copy of your partition table!
(Backups can save many hours... Usually learnt /after/ whatever event.)

There are those that have never had a disk fail, and then there are
those that do backups.
