Only one project is run at a time.

Depending on your preferences, you should have one project running for a 
while, this is then preempted to let the next project run, and so on.

This 'preemption' occurs every hour I believe. You should set your 
preferences to have the projects remain in memory, so that you avoid 
wasted CPU time. If a project was preempted and removed from memory, the 
CPU time from the last check point save would be lost.

aha.that explains why i only had one project running at a time.
i thought my machines were f*cked or i was doing something wrong.
i think i'll just run seti for now.thank you for the info martin.   ted
