Yes, I consider that despite the continued progress made in computer
hardware components, the 'Human-Computer Interface' has badly stagnated.
For most people, computers are still too difficult to use and too time
consuming. Worse still, they don't even work reliably due to whatever
software 'problems' (errors or just usage complexity).
The general 'look and feel' has improved, but there's been no radical
improvement beyond the 'obvious'.
Having your computer hijacked by the 'license department' or marketing
people or spammers or some mere vandal is an unwelcome and expensive
'distraction' also.
(Note to the flamefest folk: This is a GENERAL 'computer science' bash!)
