BOINC is the "manager"
SAH, CPDN et al are the workers.

IOW:
BOINC downloads a WU for SAH. SAH has version 4.03 (.exe)
BOINC assigns the WU to that SAH version.
BOINC downloads another WU for SAH.
In the meantime SAH has released a new version (lets say 4.05)
BOINC then also downloads the new SAH version and assigns the new WU
to the new version. The old WU will continue to be analyzed with the
old 4.03 version.
