I'm still having the same issue with 4.09 "no separate prefs for
work, using your defaults".
Thanks Dogg, I'm glad it's not just me. I haven't seen it mentioned
here and I don't check the forums much, damn dial-up's too slow.
Hopefully I'll have my DSL running this week. The Orcon deal,
ordered it on Monday, they said 2-5 days. I have the DSL modem all
ready to go....... <g>.
Hey! Myself and 2 of my mates did the same thing. I already had DSL
with another ISP so I signed up Monday :)
I only just made the cut. I see on their website that new DSL customers had
to order by yesterday, existing DSL have to order by 28th. It didn't say
that on Monday, it just said ny the 28th. They must be getting a lot more
people than they planned on and until Telecom sorts out the Bitstream
service (delayed until probably after Xmas now) I think Orcon are biting the
bullet on the data used. It could cost them a bit.
Incidently, I spoke to the guys at Orcon today and Telecom can't activate my
DSL at the DSLAM until 29th! So much for 2-5 days, that's 9 days after I
ordered. Bastards! (Telecom) I'm so looking forward to getting off dial-up.
