Right click on the time that is listed in your task bar.  Click on Adjust 
Date/Time.  Click on the Internet Time tab.  Put a check
in the Automatically synchronize... box.

It should be on by default AFAIK, it was with all my installations - 
although I only have WinXP Home SP1 CDs, so maybe it wasn't on by default in 
the original WinXP..?
