Yes, but there is a huge amount of work units handed out at the same time.
Nobody can tell how many people are working on the same unit that you have.
In theory, you could be the only one working on a specific work unit. Of
courese, if your machine needs weeks to process a unit, chances are high
that ist is completed by others long before you are done.
Right now, the SETI status page (see
http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/sah_status.html)
shows 1.4 million work units ready to send.
