because of errors in the transmission, the workunit wasn't downloaded

Plus a few more. There are multiple incidents with the same errors.
Are we back to having serious problems with whatever we were having

Not that anyone else has mentioned, are you using Win98 by chance?
If so you should upgrade to 4.09 rght away, if you are not using Win98
then 4.05 seems to be okay.
