Got a message logging on yesterday that BOINC 4.09 is available.

Any advantages/requirements to upgrading (from Win2k ver of BOINC v4.05)?
Special steps to avoid loss of data/credits?

TIA

I updated 8 machines yesterday and it went flawlessly. I exited the
old program and then from the same directory ran the newer version, it
installed right over the top and then after running the benchmarks
picked up the processing right where it left off.
4.09, or later, WILL become mandatory eventually, it is mainly a fix
for Win98 people and fixes some some dial-up issues. But I do have one
machine running Win98 but the rest are all beyond that and I have
cable. The program runs just fine with no problems.
