The fact you can post this seems to cast a certain amount of
doubtfulness on it. After all, if they controlled all aspects
of society, they could certainly hunt you down and drill holes
in your teeth and place probes in there to drive you insane.

 Apparently, they've done that.

But, I guess at the moment, the only real hope is that the aliens
actually *do* take over, and do hunt you down and drill holes in you.
