hyper-threading.....

It isn't a hyper-threading CPU !!
So, who cares if Win 2k supports it - this is a thread relating to running
multiple SETI Driver processes on 1Mb and 2Mb L2 cache CPU's

Actually, Windows 2000 can't tell the difference between a physical and
logical CPU.  If HT is enabled and the total number of logical CPUs is below
the system's license limit (2 for 2000 Pro, 4 for 2000 Server, 8 for 2000
Advanced Server), the system will see and use all of the logical processors.
