| Subject: Compiled client for Itanium HPUX today |

Hi,
I'm really new to all this - just started running SETI last week on some
UNIX boxes. I noticed the Itanium machine was really quick and wondered
how it would do at BOINC.
I compiled up the source code for the BOINC client but did not bother
going on to do the SETI@Home port as the CPU benchmarks were worse than
for my AMD 1600Mhz machine at home - by a huge factor.
It got 355 double precision MIPS and 623 integer MIPS.
Have I done something wrong in the port? Does anyone have experience of
porting the code? Or is there another forum to try? Actually - I see
there is. I'll have a go there. I'll leave this posting for info
though.
Cheers
Peter
