I've started the BOINC using

boinc_cli -install

rebooted my machine and now I'm not seeing any sign it is actually
running. I don't seeing anything in the event log after a couple of
days. Any suggestions to verify BOINC is running?

Bob,

For instant gratification that it's working, do a CTRL-ALT-DEL, pick task
manager, go to the 'processes' tab, it should show the 'boinc_cli.exe'
running at between 0 and 2 percent, and
'setiathome_4.04_windows_intelx86.exe' running at between 95 and 99 percent.
For proper info regarding what boinc is doing you should install something
like BoincView, do a google search for 'boincview', install it, then, using
the rpc connect method, use it to interogate the boinc program.
