The versions of s@h classic cli that were compiled for linux did not
have all the compiler optimisations that were included for the windows
versions. This may have been due to whatever compiler options were
selected, or just due to the different compilers used.
The overall fastest combination goes to Linux... You just need to run
the windows optimised win-nt-cli under wine on linux. Wine can give
better performance than the original Windows environment it replaces!
(Wine is not an emulator (:-))
However, at this late stage, you may as well jump onboard Boinc.
