Subject: switch to BOINC?

are there any compelling reasons to switch from SETI Classic to BOINC?  I
really do not want to use BOINC until I absolutely have to, because as far
as I've seen, it's very buggy and hard to configure, and there are almost no
good add-ons written for it (examples of what I'm talking about... 3 add-ons
I can't live without are SETI Spy, SetiGate, and StarMap.  :D)

Also, when the switch-over occurs (something I have trouble seeing happening
in the foreseeable future for various reasons, including the ones I listed
above) will Berkeley stop accepting WU's from SETI@Home users if they aren't
using BOINC?  Or will they accept SETI@Home WU's, but just discourage people
from using the old version, ala Microsoft Windows Update?
