And this applies to the use of distributed computing power to scan through
radio signals recieved and recorded by high-power radio reciever dishes
aimed at various stars in our galaxy with the hopes of detecting a signal
that has telling characteristics that would signal that the orgin of the
signal is intelligent in nature, therefore signifying that the human race is
not the only intelligent species in the galaxy... how?

LOL.. sorry I had to take that cheap shot.  Sir, I'm sure that you mean
well, and in fact your post is more lucid than some others I've seen in here
("SETI is evil, blah blah blah!"), but the fact remains that it is waaaaay
off topic.  I'm a Christian myself (see the thread titled "Defense of
Christians: A Moderate View"), and I believe myself that you're doing the
wrong thing.  Posting in random forums will probably turn the general
opinion of the forum's participants against you, not get them to see what
your saying.

You're doing a good thing, but your efforts are a little misguided.
