I've a 400 Hz Mac Cube under OS 9.2 processing classic at around 14-15

G3 needs 22-24 hours per wu.
A while ago I had to work with a Windows XP laptop with an 800 (about)
MHz PIII and when I put it into good, real, productive use, it did a
wu in 6 to 7 hours. Not bad.
Now, I recently got a 2.4 MHz Athlon with linux FC 2. What a
disappoinment: a wu takes 8 to 9 hours to process. What a
disappointment!
To be honest I'm absolutely amazed that a machine with a CPU running at
2.4Mhz does a WU in under a decade, yet alone 8 to 9 hours.
