How do I alter the amount of disk space allocated so that it works... And
what's the minimum required ?
main Boinc web page, your account, View or edit general preferences,
scroll down and you will see the amount of hard drive space allocated
for Boinc. I have mine set at 5 gig and it always gets plenty of work.
I also have my cache set at 1 day, that could be your problem too.
Lower your cache size and you won't need as much disk space.
Secondly, I want BOINC to be set to work all the time every time I start the
computer... At the moment I have to right click the icon on the task bar and
change it that way - no it makes no difference if I open up BOINC and File>Run
Always...
Add Boinc to the startup folder under programs in the taskbar.
Thirdly, I've uninstalled the original S@H as I gather it's going to be turned
off... I'm obviously not getting any more workings out done so my stats aren't
going anywhere...:( Should I still be running the old one until I get BOINC
sorted so I can keep my stats going ??
Up to you, it will stop after Boinc is running the way the developers
want. Some of us figure a few months yet.
I keep the old Classic program on my hard drive, I have plenty of
space, and when Boinc goes down I crunch for Classic and then switch
back to Boinc when it is back up and doing fine.
You do realize that the Classic stats will not be updated on Boinc
until AFTER Classic officially ends and they are compiled?
