gb on hd then told it to leave  1gb open while boinc works for effective

Ok, Larry, I don't have that much spare space so have gone for 1GB & 0.5GB
respectfully...

I shall have to wait for BOINC to try a transfer...

Nick you could try a force update by going to projects tab right clicking on 
project and seleting update now option.  this normally updates the general 
prefernces to.
