I'd be on BOINC right now, except for one (MAJOR) thing...
If I move to BOINC it will bring a full third of my SETI farm down... I
have several NetBSD machines, and several machines that aren't x86, and
there seems to be no clients available for NetBSD or most non-x86
architectures under BOINC yet.. unless I'm missing something.
Most of my Linux boxen would like it, though, as well as my Win2K
machines. I won't migrate until there's support for all the
architectures and OS's I run here at the house.. Windows, NetBSD, and
Linux for OS's; i386/i686, Sparc64, Alpha 21164, and PMAX/MIPS for
architectures.
If the classic gets shut off before everything's available for all my
kit, SETI will lose a cruncher. Right now, I'm ranked 5789th with 25758
WU's done since 18-Jun-99.

The source code to both BOINC itself and the SETI client are provided on
the website. What's stopping you compiling them yourself?
