A new boinc-s@h client has been released. The windows screamers report
that their slowdown with the previous windows client has been cured.
Full speed crunching again now for the Windowers.
Note: boinc will AUTOMATICALLY download the new s@h client when your
present cache of WUs allocated to the previous client has cleared.
(There is no new 'boinc' to download. It is the
_project_ _client_ that
gets updated.)

SETI@Home application version 4.07 is released. This rebuild should
increase speed over the previous version. The build also includes BOINC
API changes which were made in preparation for the graphics interface
for Linux, Mac, and Solaris.
###
As to what has been fixed to avoid the Windows slowdown:

atually, the debug code was gone, we have it narrowed down to a
difference in build environments.
Next time I fly down to berkeley I'll be checking on the computer that
did the build, it might be time to rebuild it or something.

The team had noticed extra code in the previous client build. There's
also been various ".net" updates by M$. Curious...
Happy crunchin',
