The units quoted are confused, but the relative numbers give a good story. As discussed here a few times, for Pentium desktop PCs, there is only a small increase in power used for s@h-like tasks. For power saving laptops and Macs, there is a much greater difference.

But then, the power costs should be small in comparison to the hardware and labour costs. So you may as well keep what you have got busy at 100% utilisation.
