Dear Ma'ams and Sirs,

The SETI Classic distributed computing project was interesting. Because of
SETI.exe and the alt.sic.seti newsgroup, I learned basic computer hardware
issues and diagnostics, how to stick my hands inside my computer, and I got
turned onto networking.

Since our outrageous efforts have contributed to improving the state of
distributed computing, I feel it's time for me to do something a little more
down-to-Earth with the new technology. I'm going to switch to Climate
Prediction -- not just because it's working more better than SETI
Boinc, but because it seems more necessary.

Thanks for having me.

If you find an ET signal tomorrow, I'll come back and apologize (especially
if it was one of my Work Units...).

Best luck,
                -Neil-

PS. On the other hand, regarding global warming, it sure is freezing in
Pennsylvania. Happy Holidays.

3.934 total CPU time divided by 4.994 years since I joined up computes to
78% crunching time since joining.

Besides, there's probably not enough time for me to get the 5000
