The Linux Boinc client caches wu's. Just set how often it connects to
several days on the website. The number of wu's cached will depend on
your
processor speed. I am normally connected 24/7 but have noticed when my
ISP
was down for a day the finished wu's are listed as uploading and finished
the upload when my internet connection came back up. I'm using Mdk 10.1
so
the same should apply to your system. If you upgrade to KDE 3.3+
KBoincSpy
is a good gui Boinc monitor, a good terminal client is Boinc bash script

This is very good news, obviously I must have miss-understood some post or
another, or perhaps I have been crunching for so long now I just have a
mental block to change. But, having been able to install and use Linux I am
so excited anything is possible. Thankyou also for the additional
information I will experiment on my Linux box at the weekend.
