I'm not sure that 's@h classic' is quite dead yet. However, as soon as
Berkeley get their hardware upgraded and the database bottlenecks
cleared to support more users, then Boinc is very definitely the way to go.
For non-critical machines, the auto-update feature for Boinc clients is
a very powerful and worthwhile feature. New science can be rapidly set
to being worked on.
For more critical systems, stability and security for any new software
are become serious issues. 'Upgrades' need to be taken with due caution.
