Ok, I'll bite ... which book? ... I been in a scifi reading mood lately

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", and there's five books in the 'Trilogy'. The reference to '42' is of great significance and is IIRC likely in book 2.

A good story with thought provoking ideas even if the writing style is a little awkward. It's also good fun.
