Yes. However that cache is /'used'/ in different ways depending on how

to overcome CPU internal architecture bottlenecks. Some software can
make good use of the feature. Most general applications see little benefit.

This is a very fast data path to main memory. It nicely improves overall
system performance by giving a high bandwidth low latency path for the
CPU to get and send data quickly.

Boinc will likely get clients that can take advantage of the 'special
high performance features' of the 64-bit chips.
In short, you need to compare comparable real-application benchmarks.
