Well I just set up a new account and got the same thing so that's a
wrap I quit.
The same thing happened because it is not Berkeley that is having the
problem, your computer is!
Okay lets start over!
uninstall ALL of Boinc, KEEP the name and password from your original
Classic account.
Re-install boinc to the hard drive, anyone will do, does not have to
be C if you have others. When installing at the last screen, UNCHECK
the 2nd line about the screen saver. The screen saver causes problems
for some.
Upon installing it wil lask for the url and passwrod, COPY AND PASTE
them BOTH. DO NOT try and type them, there are intricicies that are
easily mistyped! ESPECIALLY with the url, COPY THE WHOLE THING, do not
forget the http part at the beginning.
This seems to be the part where your system is stopping, from your log
errors it looks like the files are not being downloaded completely
error free. One ofthe next couple of releases of the software will fix
theis and make it automatically retry, it currently does not.
IF you have the errors again, come back and post the log again, BUT
just before you do click on the projects tab and then right click on
Seti@home and click on retry. If that does not work paste the logs
here again.
Also BEFORE you try, MAKE SURE you are connected to the internet!

Firstly did you sign up for S@H BOINC on th S@H BOINC Page
If you did they will send you an email with the CORRECT URL and a
PASSWORD. Without this you will get the error you got.
If you have a S@H "classic" account, you can transfer this on the
S@H Boinc sign up page. The account will transfer but the old
credits do not (different credit systems).
URL for SETI BOINC to signup is http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/
