Ok I just checked my firewall log and this hit at 9:07pm

A computer at IP Address 152.1.109.52 has attempted an unsolicited
connection to TCP port 1024 on your computer.
TCP port 1024 is commonly used by the "Reserved / NetSpy Trojan"
service or program. The source computer has scanned your computer
for this trojan, but it has been blocked by your firewall.

So there is no way I am dropping it just to see if Seti works.

If that's ZoneAlarm, then look in the 'control centre' to see what it
has set for the seti program. You could also check the tick box for it
to produce a txt log and then look in that to see if seti is getting
blocked.

Ok I use the latest version of Mcafee Security Suite and disabled
everything. I guess I could unstall the thing and try and reinstall Mcafee.
How would I know if the Windows firewall is running.....I don't have sp2
yet....been putting that off.

I have had NO PROBLEMS with SP2 but others have had a ton of them.
You said you disabled Mcafee and the download still failed?
