Hi all,

I am new to Linux and have no problems forcing an update under windows and
have enough work to keep those 2 boxes going.

Question?
how do I force an update under Linux from the "Konsole", it is now waiting 1
day and some minutes before it will re-try, heck I can't have it idle for
that amount of time as it is 1/3rd my heating output and don't want to run
another project. If all esle fails I will load seti classic on that box but
would like the knowledge for future reference any how.

Yes I know, I have made little effort to google for my answer but this news
group seems to be gasping it's last just like the current seti work unit
server and besides I have just eaten into my precious sleep time helping a
friend with his XP (yuck) box so I am tired and fractious.
