Einstein@home may be open to new testers off and on this week, just keep
going back and retrying if interested. They require 4.19. If you run out
of S@H wu's boinc will switch over to E@H and run it full time. Just an
idea if you want to keep crunching on something useful.
What settings do you use to do that? Do you put 100%,0% for
Seti/Einstein? I ran Einstein during the last outage but have since
gone back to just Seti. I would be willing to do what you suggest but
want to run Seti and run Einstein ONLY when I have no Seti units.
You could set S@H resources high and E@H very low. E@H has just enabled a
new function on their server where it won't send out a wu if your computer
can't finish the wu before the deadline. So you could set the resources
low enought to get just one wu and have it crunch S@H most of the time. Or
possibly, you could set E@H resources so low that you never get a wu but
boinc will switch over if you run out of S@H wu's. The resource share
setting will depend on the wu size, the deadline, other attached projects,
and your computer speed so you will need to experiment a little. Probably
the safest would set the share so you get just one E@H wu at a time, just a
guess. Don't know if they will keep an account open if they don't see
results every once in awhile.
Thanks for the reply
