Their web site say the process that hands out the work units is not running.
More like:
"The data server is up and running, but dropping connections"
This usually happens after a server outage, though don't recall seeing a
complete outage so may just be some network problems at Berkeley.
What you said is usually the case, but this is the exact message at the time I
posted the message:
Right now the data server machine is up, but the process that actually serves the
data is not running. This is probably because we're in the middle of upgrading the
server software, or preparing for a quick reboot. These outages are usually brief
(10-15 minutes). Please try back again soon.
This message was up for quite some time so I expect they were working on something
for a while.
