How long before you can rush to them a redundant backup mains power
supply to them and all the routers out to the internet. Just a few kWs

campus Estates Office and rearrange the 'incompetents' there first.
Oh, and I forgot to mention. There's no additional funding for such
luxuries as redundant supplies. How deep is your pocket?
Don't just winge there. GO FOR IT!
Make a few donations. Lobby your politician. Politicly raise the profile
of the Space Sciences Lab with campus there to get the cable fixed
sooner rather than later.
