I do not have temp issues - the box run hotter than when idling (duh!), but
well within design limits.
I suspect you have substandard cooling, or your "temp alarm" is set too low.

And I have 17 machines here running Seti, either Classic or Boinc, and
have NEVER had a problem with cooling! I even had one 700mhz machine
spin a fan blade off and the machine STILL kept crunching!
I usually build my own machines but I also have some commercial ones,
NONE overheat with Seti OR Boinc.

Those who runs seti concurrently watch out cause the Intel Pentium is
smoking at highest temperatur all times. I didn't realize this after I
had the new computer and found several Temperatur warnings.
Once I took seti into screen savers only, everything is cool again.
