I've seen that one fairly often, perhaps once a month among a dozen
systems, usually during or immediately following a server outage. My
speculation is that it's caused by an interrupted or corrupted
download. With the Mac client a reboot is rarely necessary; on
dismissing the dialog and relaunching the client it usually picks up
a fresh WU right away (assuming the servers are up, and not overloaded).
