I always block all access. So Boinc manager is not able to talk to BOINC or seti 4.09.Will this stop the processing of work? Also as I understand if I exit Boinc Manager will sei 4.09 still run and continue on to the next work unit?

Think of Boinc and Seti/Einstein/LHC/whatever this way....if you close
Windows will WordPerfect/Office still run?
Boinc is the main program that the other programs,
Seti/Einstein/LHC/whatever run under, stop Boinc they stop.

I did some reading and testing.I misunderstood the documentation. The core client will still run if BOINC manager crashes not if I exit it.
I did exit manager and all programs stopped.Setiathome was still running for a minute then closed.I thought it was still running.
However if I deny  total access with my firewall BOINC still runs[states disconnected in bottom right] but I can't see any info in tabbed windows and setiathome runs and does start another work unit.
So what I do is,I have 5 days of work and keep BOINC at blocked access until I send in work. This seems to work OK for me.
When I first started BOINC I would check several times a day. That wore off.Now I don't send in info until all is done.
