All.

Forget the links to vague and confusing techical pages that do not clearly
give an answer, id there a fixed date for the turn off of SETi Classic or
not? If so what is it? Apirl 17th perhaps, I don't know I just wish I
did!

Rob.B.

okay as clear as possible here is the answer:
YES there IS a date for the cutoff!!!
NO it will NOT be met!!!!
YES Berkeley is TRYING to keep to a schedule!
NO it is not working!

Well if they are that organised, do you think they will be able to spot when
(not if) they find what they are looking for?

Rob.B

Fortunately/unfortunately it has nothing to do with being organized.
It has EVERYTHING to do with things happening on time, which they have
not been able to do for quite a while now!
Too many little things popping up, ie Boinc 4.10 was released that
fixed a whole bunch of graphics card problems. It CAUSED others!!!
They are now back to testing to figure out what went wrong.
The people that could have been helping with the transition are now
back to trying to figure out where the problem lies.
There ARE people still working on the transition, it WILL happen. They
just can't give us an exact date yet.
