Having used s@h for many year, without problem, i tried
to change to boinc, downloaded OK, installed OK
Tried to attach to seti - "disconnected" showing !
Tried again - disconnected!
and many more times, only once have i made a connection,
after a re-boot, so re-booted 5 times in a row, same
outcome "disconnected"
How do you get it out of disconnected mode !!

try turn off firewall ?
boinc gui should say 'connected to localhost' in the bottom right
