(Boinc works fine over here on Linux (;-))
Yep.
Good luck,
Martin
ps: Note the tempting flame bait (:-P)
But people need to know there is a better OS out there. I tried
Quite so, and there are yet more other systems alongside the various
flavours of Linux also.
Unfortunately, people can get very upset and pseudo-religious when they
have paid money for the Microsoft stuff to be then told that there is
something that (in my opinion at least) works much better and that
doesn't cost so much money.
Mandrake and was impressed at how easy it installed and how solid a
system it is but I'm a Fedora fan.
An important part of Open Source Software (Linux) is that you have
exactly that type of choice (:-))
I prefer the "European"-ness of the Mandrake/Mandriva group. Apart from
the continuing foibles with 'supermount' that tries to make Mandrake
more "Windows-like" friendly for those that want that, I've found the
system and tools work well. Guess I've chosen Mandrake (:-))
I'll also be looking at Gentoo and one or two of the very small distros
at some time.
Hey, you know they changed the name; right?

Yep. Those darn Amerikan sue-everybody bastards. No sense of poetic humour!
I'll be moving to Mandrake 10.2 (oops! Mandriva LE) as soon as I get the
bittorrent download.
All good fun.
Cheers,
Martin
