can someone help me plz

Okay I will give it a go....download the software here:
http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php?dev=1

install it to a directory, if you don't know about those things just
use the defaults. When it comes to the end it will give you 2 boxes
with checks in both. One box is to run the program, the other is to
use the screensaver, I always uncheck the screensaver box. I just use
the power button on my monitor, no screensaver needed.
When the program is running go to the projects tab and click on attach
to a project.
It will ask for the info that was emailed to you, copy and paste ALL
the data they sent you. DO NOT leave the http off or it will NOT work!
Copy and paste the password they sent you into the proper box, the
bottom one. The software will automatically preform some tests and
then also automatically download some units for you to start
crunching. If you have cable or dsl you can leave the settings alone.
If you have dial-up you may wish to go to the Boinc home page and
click on the words your account. Put in your password, tell it yes to
remember it and go to view or edit general preferences and change the
connect to network every ? days. Change this to say 5 or 7 days and
then the next time your computer conencts it will download more units,
enough to last approximately those 5 or 7 days whatever number you
chose. The default is .1 days so it thinks everyone is on cable or dsk
by default.
If you have more questions, some of the answers are here:
http://boinc-doc.net/index.php
if that doesn't help just come back here and ask and we wil ltry to
help you.
OH if you have a firewall TURN IT OFF BEFORE you install the program,
that is a MAJOR problem with getting started. After the program is up
and running, but AFTER you start crunching, turn the firewall back on
and then say yes when Boinc wants access. Let the program finish its
downloading with the firewall OFF!
