Your 2.6Ghz system has two strikes against it--first, Intel motherboards
are noted for being slow. They're reliable, but don't get the most
performance out of the CPU or memory. Second is the FSB--233MHz is very
slow for a P4.

As someone else mentioned, don't use a screensaver for best performance.
