Do you mean that you are not on boinc?
For s@h classic, just start up two instances of the s@h client in
separate directories (eg: seti1 and seti2).
Its a long time since I looked at ksetispy... But from a guess, if it
operates anything like the old SetiQueue, then you will only need one
instance of ksetispy to serve all your s@h clients.
The Linux kernel will share the active processes evenly across the two
ht virtual 'processors'.
Good luck,
Martin
Nope, not on boinc. Havnt looked at it but from what i heard I'm wondering
if you can be sure its really running seti? or maybe making profits for
some drug company? how can you be sure? BTW: only the paranoid survive...
Now back to our regularly scheduled question:
The trouble is that the KSetispy program only starts one instance and
thats it. There seems to be no place in the configuration to say
"keep 2 instances running" while maintaining a large cache of WU's
similar to what SetiDriver does for Windows. With KSetiSpy i can get a cache
but the program doesnt even use the cache, it seems to process WU 1 to
completion, download another WU (to download/1 and start it up, repeating
that process over and over, ignoring download/2 through download/20
Performance is never updated, progress is never updated, its like its some
kind of botched install (i used the rpm install)
Thanks,
Eric
:over 33k WU's processed since 1999
