Gee... Folk have no patience any more (:-P)
I have loads of patience
Mmmm, sounds good.
- Boinc Manager doesn't! It just sent a result
back, and it wa the first time of asking for a new WU.
It's just following its algorithms ya know. Itself victim to whatever
external inputs and responses it gets given.

What does 'reset project' do exactly? Wipe all your units?
Yep.
All system state and WUs and results are deleted and it then tries to
start up afresh. It is intended as the final option to reset from an
unexpected mess. Afterwards, it must contact the project servers for new
work.
If you click it a few times, the server times you out for a while as a
defence against a possible DOS attack.
It should be working again for you by now.
Good luck,
Martin
