Anyone up for another test???
On this one the client is assigned the status of Master Client and will have
full control of the antenna. This is on a first come/first served bases.
Once you become the Master Client you can set the position of the antenna in
Az and El
Simply download the latest client:
http://www.seti.net/SETINet/SETINet.htm
and start it. Then in this order:
1.. Set your Argus station ID into the box (guest or anything else works
fine at this point). Say Hello. This logs you in to the server.
2.. Switch to the Antenna Params. page where the two gauges are. Set the
left most switch. If you were able to log in correctly it will be enabled
for you. This downloads the physical configuration of the antenna at the
current time.
3.. If the Antenna Serve is On Line its LED will come on.
4.. If the antenna itself is On Line, either live or in demo mode, its LED
will be on.
5.. Press the right most switch. This starts refreshing your client with
the current antenna Az and El.
6.. If you are first in you will automatically become the Client Master
and the LED on the Setup page will light.
7.. If you are Master you can move the antenna by 'pulling' the Yellow
needle on the El gauge or the Red needle on the Az gauge. The other two
needles should move to the position you selected.
You can't cause any problems with the antenna in demo mode so play with it
for a while. If you shut off the right most switch you will stop updating
your display and after 1 minute the Master Client will go to the next client
using the system.
Please email me with your observations on the system so far.
