We're all in the dark about the schedule. AFAICT the last official
word is at

<http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/transition.php>

The change-over date is anyone's guess!

At the moment, there's still a flurry of new Windows versions being
tested. Berkeley are also being 'relaxed' about pushing for a
changeover due to resources limits at their end.

Keep an eye on here and http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/ and their
forums.

Meanwhile, give boinc another taster. Its only a little different and
has more to offer including other DC projects.

ive found that my comp crunches boinc seti faster... unless they are
sending out smaller units.

Some of my PCs take a similar time - others take significantly longer.
Perhaps this depends on how BOINC is set up on the PC?
