I think they have had (yet more) problems recently. I have a shortcut to my 
SETI BOINC details. A couple of hours ago for no obvious reason it decided I 
had to log in - even though I have a cookie.

As usual the advice is to try again in a day or two and the problem will 
have almost certainly been fixed. On no account rush in there and start 
changing things.
