I don't know why but if BOINC (or Windows) decides that there is no
connection to the Internet, it seems to stop processing WUs. (It doesn't
crash in my case - it just goes idle.) I posted a thread on this problem

As commented elsewhere, if you have ZoneAlarm (as I do) why engage the
Internet lock? Paranoid or what?
